Day 2 in Tokyo (Part 1)

Shangri La Tokyo gym
I started off the day at the gym, 30 mins on the free weights and 60 mins on the treadmill. The gym overlooks the inviting pool! I must say the gym is well equipped!

Sky Hop Bus
I went sightseeing in a hop on hop off bus, its an open top double decker that lets you enjoy unlimited rides on three different routes like Asakusa-Skytree Course, Odaiba course and Roppongi or Tokyo Tower Course. You can purchase your ticket at their office at Marunouchi Mitsubishi Building SKY BUS Ticket Counter (Next to Marunouchi Building), near Tokyo Station. Their Office hours are from 9:30am-6:00pm if you decide to call them 03-3215-0008.

I sat at the upper deck, and I could see  rickshaws on the road. Did you know rickshaws were invented in Japan about 1869? It became a popular mode of transportation across Asia at that time. I was thinking you would need strong men to carry passengers around all day!

My first stop was their enduring tourist landmark - Tokyo Tower, which ranks 22nd in the world’s tallest towers. Tokyo Tower will host its a second Olympics games in 2020! There are many Buddhist Temples & Shinto Shrines in Tokyo, but it ain't Kyoto. The temples and shrines aren't as numerous, grand, or as old as those found in the ancient capital of Kyoto, still many compared to Singapore.

To be continue....
